The Belmonts
Without question The Belmonts (from the Fordham section of the Bronx, NY)
were one of the best late fifties, and sixties vocal groups. The Belmonts where voted the best vocal
group of 1959 by Photoplay Magazine and The Dick Clark Show. They continue
to be the darlings of the Doo-wop sound to the present day.
The Belmont's hit songs such as "A Teenager in Love", "Runaround Sue", "The Wanderer",
"Little Diane", "Tell Me Why?" and others continue to be played on national radio and
featured endlessly in TV, movies and commercials everywhere.
The Belmonts are currently on tour and involved in a new recording project.
